Jane Wilson, MA, LCPC Charleston

Jane is a licensed clinical professional counselor with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Jane has worked in the field of mental health and family services since 1982 and has experience in treating individuals, couples, and families in residential, medical, and community mental health settings.

In addition to her practice at New Leaf Professional Counseling, Jane provides clinical supervision for the counselors practicing evidence-based therapies at the Sexual Assault Counseling and Information Service. Jane has published and presented research on sexual abuse treatment and play therapy at national and international conferences. Jane has particular expertise in the provision of cognitive behavior therapy for panic and anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and adjustment and relationship issues. Jane has completed extensive training in specific forms of cognitive behavioral therapies such as cognitive processing therapy for PTSD, exposure response prevention for OCD, dialectical behavior therapy, behavioral activation for depression, mindfulness and acceptance based therapies, CBT-E for eating disorders, CBT-I for insomnia, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Michael Warner, MS Ed, LCPC, CADC Mt. Zion

Michael is a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug counselor. He has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. His counseling experience since 1990 with adults, children, adolescents, and families includes: anxiety, adolescent social anxiety, children of divorce, criminal justice, anger management, depression, substance abuse, and couples and family counseling.

He has counselled and supervised in programs for inpatient and outpatient settings ranging from early intervention to long-term residential placement. In addition to private practice, Michael is currently the CEO / Executive Director of the Youth Advocate Program Inc in Decatur. Michael’s wife is the Principal at McGaughey Elementary School in Mt. Zion and they have two school-age daughters.
